Jesse Thomas is a force to be reckoned with. The petite songstress has a powerful voice with a raspy passionate quality that you can’t seem to stop listening to.
In late 2008, with no money to her name, Jesse headed for Los Angeles. Alone. After a few open mic nights in the Valley and some raw demo recordings, she caught the attention of producer Jim Roach at Red Parade Music Group. Jim found something special in Jesse that countless others would soon come to recognize: Her hilarious yet poignant personality shining through that smoky, battle scarred voice.
Jesse wrapped up her debut “Hazel EP" in the spring of 2010 for release in September. It debuted in the Top Ten on iTunes’ singer/songwriter chart and was highlighted there as both a "New and Noteworthy" and "Indie Spotlight" release. Come February 2011, her song "You I Want" was featured at Starbucks retail stores in the US and Canada as their "Pick of the Week.” "Stay," also off the EP, became a YouTube sensation after being used in Teen Nick's "Degrassi."
Jesse performed at the Hotel Cafe Showcase during SXSW 2011 and has opened for the likes of John Mayer, Cary Brothers, Crash Kings, Owl City, Lights, and Angel Taylor. Through her live shows and home videos, Jesse’s unique brand of gritty charm has gained her many fans and made her debut record highly anticipated.
