Crescent City diva offers "A
Taste of New Orleans"
Wanda Rouzan comes from a very musical family, so it is no wonder
she pursued and attained her dream of becoming a recording and performing
artist. She started out with her sisters, Barbara and Laura (The Rouzan
Sisters), just singing for fun on the family's front porch. Then came a
recording contract with a small local label, Frisco Records. In the 1960s
the Rouzan Sisters backed up Danny White on the song "Kiss Tomorrow
Goodbye," and later recorded their own single "Men of War,"
both with Frisco. Now Wanda has her own 6-member group behind her: A Taste
of New Orleans, and a CD named the same, which features such standards as:
"Mack the Knife," "Ain't Misbehaven," "Goody Goody,"
"Bill Bailey," and "Take Me As I Am." |
