Feel the pulse beneath the rib
cage
The Afghan Whigs are simply one of the best rock bands in the world
today. So, can one expect the side project of their main man to be equally
mind-blowing? You bet. Greg Dulli's The Twilight Singers have just released
Twilight as Played by The Twilight Singers, and it's one of the best damn
records of the year. Taking the open-heart sonic surgery of the Whigs as
its starting point, the Twilight project tackles what, to Dulli, "didn't
sound like rock-and-roll songs." English electronic duo Fila Brazillia helped
him flesh out the tunes, but don't expect an "electronica" record. While
traveling the way of the occasional beat, Twilight lives in the land of
the song, preferring the pulsating that can only happen beneath the ribcage.

the next Afghan Whigs album. ~ twilight-singers.com
