This musician was born to blow
the horn!
Born in New Orleans, in 1956 Tracy Griffin was interested in music
since childhood. His parents played musical instruments, which made it easy
for the other siblings to be interested in music as well. His interest in
playing trumpet started from the age of five, then he had his own band.
He had guidance from the experts in his field and this acted as an initiative
to become more interested in music. Hard work and determination became a
virtue. His desire to play trumpet more began to take over. The course of
his life changed when he met John Fernandez. He was not only a great player
but a wonderful teacher as well. in 1975 he restablished an old band everyone
had played together in. After 20 years of existence the band still plays
locally. It was in 1995 that he began recording and touring with the New
Orleans music group. This was the apex of his education for New Orleans
