Wide range of influences makes
this band special
Formed in 1986 by New Orleans musician Claude Bryant, One Drop Plus
has emerged as one of the South's premiere Reggae bands. One Drop's unique
sound comes from its wide range of influences ranging from New Orleans musicians
such as "Satchmo" and Professor Longhair to the rich culture and
heritage of Caribbean music. Soon after One Drop began performing in the
Grant Park area of Atlanta, it began receiving praise for its exceptional
accomplishments. In 1990, the City of Atlanta declared December 19th to
be One Drop Plus day. In 1991 and 1992, the New South Music Showcase voted
One Drop to be the #1 Reggae band in the South. One Drop has released three
albums, One Drop Plus:Live in Atlanta, One Drop Plus: "A Special Dedication
to Homeless People," and One Drop Plus: "Live in New Orleans."
