brass band
New Orleans is a city where tradition doesn't stand still, with new
groups continually arriving to push the music forward. One of the best of
the recent crop is an incredible brass band, the New Orleans Nightcrawlers.
The members of this ground-breaking group honed their skills working with
some of New Orleans' -- and the country's -- best musicians; a short list
would include the Neville Brothers, Dr. John, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band,
Maynard Ferguson, and the Harry Connick, Jr. Big Band. |
