The super group re invents funk
groovesThis new group is the 70's New Orleans funk scene at Tipitina's condensed into a highly concentrated concoction. A supergroup comprised of Cyril Neville on percussion and vocals, Nick Daniels on bass and vocals, "Mean" Willie Green on drums, Tony Hall on guitar, Renard Poche on guitar and trombone, and Tim Green on sax. The band brings together and re-invents funk grooves and fuels it with a classic rock sound. Their material is made up of collaborative songwriting, cuts resulting from evolved studio jams, and re-interpreting of seminal rock and roll hits. Their home is now Tipitina's Eighth Floor Studios visit the site for the latest audio, video clips, and news. |
