Has opened for a host of top-of-the-line
entertainers
Born in New Orleans, LA, Earl Smith is a 26-year veteran of the music
scene both locally and nationally. He is a drummer, as well as a singer
and background vocalist. His first group, later knwn as Tavasco, was The
Soul Impressions and performed with such notable headliners as B.B. King,
The Jackson 5, The Commodores, The Ohio Players, Maze, The Four Tops, The
Dells, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, and The Bob Hope Special. As a background
vocalist, he has recorded with several entertainers, from Bonnie Raitt,
to the Neville Brothers, and a host of others both local and national. In
addition to his own work, he performs with the Cyrl Neville Authentic New
