Grateful Deadcover band has
perfected act
Dark Star Orchestra was formed in November 1977, at Chicago to "recreate"
Grateful Dead concerts. Within two years the band perfected the sound and
"re-created" more than 300 different Dead shows and enthralled
the gathering crowds. Each member plays the role of his counterpart in the
dead with great skill. They had put themselves in a unique category. The
concerts they select to perform are not announced ahead of time, but rather
at the end of each show. The band sees this as a way to keep the experience
