A band that stands out with past and future fusion
Cookout is a five piece jazz-funk-rock group from Hattiesburg, MS , but
that's just the beginning. The Line-up is Guitar (Casey Robinson), Saxophone
(Harry Crumpler III), Keyboards (Ben Maddox), Bass (Mike Abernathy), and
Drums (Brad Newton). Coming up on their 2nd Anniversary as a band, Cookout
has something to show for it. Their debut album "Ear Fashion"
has landed in record stores and radio stations all over the southeast. In
a saturated market of jambands and formulated rock bands, Cookout stands
out. Why? Because it hasn't been done before! Fusing rhythm of the past
with thought from the future Cookout hones their skills even further with
a heavy touring regiment and brings something fresh to listeners everywhere.
