Ecclectic show will feature everything
from music to dance
Guitarist extraordinaire Carl LeBlanc has played with anybody who
is anybody (Fats Domino, Sun Ra, Allen Toussaint, Bo Diddly, Ellis Marsellis,
and Maria Muldar), has been in film (Interview With A Vampire), had one
of his songs used in a film soundtrack (Undercover Blues), been involved
in theatre, dance, has done recordings (Sidekick Serenade, Bebop,
and Justin Case), has been written up in and published stories in
some of the better journals around (Carribbean Lifestyle Magazine for one),
and has written and published a short story and a play. With such an ecclectic
artistic palate, one can expect his musical show to follow the same course.
And it will. LeBlanc's show will feature jazz, R&B, zydeco, coupled
with a dance exhibit that will show French, Spanish, zydeco, and African
forms and steps.
